The Daily Brief is a personalized morning check-in delivered by voice. Baseline greets your parent, shares the weather, reminds them of upcoming family dates or appointments, and delivers a memory or photo from the family — all in a warm, conversational tone. Think of it as a friendly morning companion, not an alarm.

The How-To Engine answers your parent's everyday questions using knowledge that your family contributes. When Mom asks "How do I check my bank balance?" or "What time is the doctor on Thursday?", Baseline gives accurate, personalized answers — because your family has taught it the specifics. The more knowledge your family contributes, the more helpful Baseline becomes.

Not at all. Baseline is voice-first by design — your parent just speaks naturally, like talking to a friend. There's no typing, no app navigation, and no learning curve. If your parent can have a conversation, they can use Baseline.

Baseline currently runs on iOS devices (iPhone and iPad). We're working on expanding to additional platforms. During our private pilot, the app is available through Apple's TestFlight.

A care circle is the group of family members connected through Baseline — siblings, partners, adult children, or anyone who wants to stay connected with your parent. Everyone in the circle can contribute knowledge, share memories, and see warmth signals about your parent's engagement.

There's no limit on family members during our pilot. Invite anyone who wants to be part of your parent's care circle — siblings, spouses, grandchildren, close friends.

Absolutely. Baseline was designed for long-distance caregiving. Whether your family is spread across the country or around the world, everyone in the care circle gets the same warmth signals and can contribute knowledge and memories from anywhere.

No — and this distinction is central to how we built Baseline. There are no cameras, no location tracking, no monitoring dashboards. Instead, Baseline provides warmth signals — simple indicators that your parent engaged with their Daily Brief, had a conversation, or responded to a memory. Your parent is an active participant, not a passive subject being watched.

Your parent does. They are the primary data owner, period. Baseline is built with privacy as architecture, not as an afterthought. We believe care should never come at the cost of dignity.

Never. We do not sell, share, or monetize your family's data in any way. Your family's information exists solely to power your parent's companion experience.

Voice interactions are processed to generate responses and insights, but raw audio recordings are not stored permanently. We process what's needed to deliver the experience and protect your parent's privacy.
