Baseline is a product of A2 Foundry, Inc., a Delaware corporation. You can reach us at contact@baselinecompanion.com. This Privacy Policy applies to the Baseline app and website at baselinecompanion.com.
Who Can Use Baseline
Baseline is available to residents of the United States, Canada, and Brazil who are 18 years of age or older.
What Information We Collect
From all users:
- Account information you provide when registering (name, email address)
- Voice inputs, text messages, photos, and emoji you share within the app
- Family circle context you provide to help personalize the experience
Optionally, from users who choose to connect health devices:
- Health and activity data from Apple Watch or Oura Ring, if you choose to connect these devices. This connection is entirely optional and can be disconnected at any time.
Automatically:
- Basic usage data to help us understand how the app is being used and to improve it
How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Provide the Baseline service to you and your family circle
- Generate AI-assisted responses and daily briefs personalized to you
- Enable family communication and coordination within your circle
- Analyze anonymized, aggregated trends across our user base to better understand family needs and improve the product. This analysis is never traceable back to individual users or families.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
AI Processing
Baseline uses Claude, an AI assistant made by Anthropic, to help structure information and generate responses. Your data may be sent to Anthropic's API for this purpose. Anthropic does not use API data to train its models. You can review Anthropic's privacy practices at anthropic.com.
Health Data
If you connect Apple Watch or Oura, your health data is stored securely in your account and used only to provide you with personalized insights. Health data is never included in aggregate research or shared with any third party. You can disconnect health integrations and request deletion of health data at any time.
How We Store and Protect Your Data
Your data is stored using industry-standard security practices, including encryption at rest, role-based access controls, and row-level security to ensure that only authorized members of your family circle can access your information.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete all personally identifiable data associated with your account. Anonymized, aggregated data derived from your usage may be retained as it cannot be traced back to you.
Sharing Your Data
We do not share your personal data with third parties except:
- Service providers necessary to operate the app (such as our cloud infrastructure and AI processing providers), who are contractually bound to protect your data
- If required by law, such as in response to a valid legal process
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To make a request, contact us at contact@baselinecompanion.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of Baseline after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
